The established importer Arnold André demonstrates with brands like Buenavista and especially the Carlos André line that its own blends can meet the highest standards. With the launch of Montosa, the company expands its portfolio with another attractively priced cigar brand.
Montosa Cigars From the In-House Tabacalera
While Arnold André’s headquarters remain in the cigar town of Bünde in East Westphalia, the company has operated its own production facility in the Dominican Republic since the 2010s. Located in the renowned tobacco-growing region around Santiago de los Caballeros in the fertile Cibao Valley, the site offers ideal conditions for cultivating tobacco.

With its own factory on site, Arnold André strengthens both its independence and production security. At the same time, the Tabacalera serves as a creative development hub where new ideas can be implemented right at the source.
Montosa – The Third In-House Brand in the Portfolio
Following Buenavista and Carlos André, the Montosa Claro was introduced in 2019 – a mild, hand-rolled cigar with a harmonious aroma profile.

This line took around three years to develop. The result: pleasantly light cigars with notable depth – ideal for both newcomers and seasoned aficionados.
Spicier Successor – The Montosa Maduro
In 2020, the Montosa Maduro followed as a bolder, more robust version. Its Sumatra wrapper from Mexico lends a gentle note, while the overall flavor profile is spicier and more intense – a compelling contrast to the Claro.
Shortfillers for In Between – Montosa Cigarillos
Arnold André also brings its expertise to the cigarillo segment. Clubmaster has been a well-established name for decades. With the addition of the Montosa shortfillers, the portfolio now includes a fitting option for brief moments of indulgence.
Montosa Rum – Perfect Companions From the Caribbean
To round off the enjoyment, Arnold André offers two Montosa rum varieties. Whether it’s the Claro Intenso or the Maduro Xquisito – both pair excellently with the cigars and are just as enjoyable on their own.
