Cohiba Cigars: Premium Cuban Tobacco Delights
The brand Cohiba represents some of the most prestigious and well-known Cuban longfillers. Since 1966, their distinctive aroma has captivated aficionados worldwide. Made from the finest Cuban tobacco leaves, subjected to a triple fermentation process, these cigars are available in numerous formats. Among the most popular variants are the Esplendidos, Robustos, and Lanceros. Newer creations such as the Siglo VI and the Piramides Extra further expand the range.

All Cohiba cigars are crafted at the renowned El Laguito factory. Here, experienced torcedores process Cuba’s finest tobacco. Only the highest quality leaves are selected for Cohiba cigars. A distinctive feature is the third fermentation, followed by an 18-month aging process in cedarwood barrels. This gives the cigars their characteristic aroma, with fine grassy notes, roasted flavors, and hints of vanilla, cocoa, and coffee.
A Glimpse into History
The origins of Cohiba are closely tied to Fidel Castro. In 1963, he discovered the brand through a bodyguard who offered him a special cigar. It was rolled by Eduardo Rivera, who soon became Castro’s personal cigar roller. Initially, Cohiba cigars were an exclusive gift for foreign dignitaries.
