Buena Vista Cigars: Inspiration from Brazil and the Dominican Republic
The traditional company Arnold André, based in Bünde, East Westphalia, produces its own brand Buena Vista in its own tabacalera in the Dominican Republic. The brand stands out with innovative blends and distinctive aromas.
The name Araperique might sound familiar – it is a portmanteau of Arapiraca and Perique. This blend combines Brazilian tobacco with the spiciness characteristic of premium pipe tobacco.

Does this cigar contain pipe tobacco? Not exactly. The Arapiraca tobacco undergoes a special process similar to Perique: it is hydrated, fermented under pressure in former whiskey barrels, and aged for over a year. The result is a robust, aromatic filler tobacco with fruity nuances.
Cigars with Character: Dark Fired Kentucky and Araperique
The Dark Fired Kentucky series features tobacco dried over smoldering hickory and oak wood. This process imparts the five formats of the series with intense roasted aromas and a deeply smoky character. If you’re torn between Dark Fired Kentucky and Araperique, you can try both in the Sampler, which includes one Toro from each series.

The Araperique and Dark Fired Kentucky lines are also available as Shortfillers. These smaller formats are perfect for a quick break.
