Eiroa Cigars – Tradition and Craftsmanship
You may not yet be familiar with the name Eiroa—but perhaps you've already enjoyed one of this family's high-quality cigars. Christian Eiroa and his father Julio played a key role in reviving Camacho. What was once nearly forgotten was transformed by them into an internationally recognized brand.
Christian Eiroa and His Passion for Cigars
Yet his true passion has always been crafting unique cigars. After a stint at Davidoff and a short break, he returned with fresh ideas. First, he founded his own label, CLE, before continuing under the family name. The Eiroas oversee every step—from growing tobacco on their own plantations to production at their Tabacalera El Aladino in Honduras.

Their success did not go unnoticed, and in 2008, Oettinger Davidoff acquired the brand. Industry insiders speak of a significant sum the Eiroa family received for the sale. However, Christian Eiroa remained dedicated to the cigar world.
Handcrafted Perfection: Eiroa Cigars
In the mid-2010s, he launched the medium-bodied Eiroa Classic. The CBT Maduro is made entirely of Maduro tobacco—from filler to binder to wrapper—resulting in a particularly rich flavor profile.

For the The First 20 Years series, his father Julio revived a wrapper leaf that had not been used for decades—bringing a piece of tobacco history back to life and defining the character of these cigars.
