Charles Fairmorn: Change and Consistency in the Cigar World
A less pleasant piece of news upfront: The Charles Fairmorn brand no longer exists. However, this does not mean that the company has disappeared. With its diverse history, the firm remains active in the cigar business. It was founded in the 1970s in the USA, followed by a German branch in Hamburg.
In the 1980s, the parent company in the United States closed, and changes also took place in Germany after reunification: Charles Fairmorn moved its headquarters from the Hanseatic city of Hamburg to the quiet town of Dingelstädt in Thuringia. This location had been a center of tobacco processing even during the GDR era and has maintained this reputation to this day. Charles Fairmorn later returned to the north and is now headquartered in Lübeck, another important Hanseatic city.
Charles Fairmorn: New Names for Proven Cigars
The disappearance of the Charles Fairmorn brand means that no cigars are produced under this name anymore. Instead, the company markets its products under new labels. These include Belmore, Quisqueya, and Personales. All these brands represent Dominican cigars, which enjoy great recognition among aficionados.
Tradition and Enjoyment: Charles Fairmorn Remains Present
The name Charles Fairmorn still appears on packaging, even though there are no longer any long-filler cigars. With the cigarillos of the Santa Cruz series, the name remains alive.

These cigarillos are available in four pleasant formats. Pipe enthusiasts can also continue to rely on Charles Fairmorn: With the Sundowner, the brand ensures enjoyable moments under the motto “Quality by Tradition.”
