Casa de Alegria Cigars from Estelí: Fairly Produced, Well Rolled, Directly Delivered

The brand from Estelí in Nicaragua is committed to transparency and quality. Under the motto Fair, Good, Direct, Casa de Alegria follows a clear path. The two founders, Maritza Molina and Ralf Westerwick, found their way into the cigar world through unconventional routes: she a psychologist, he a geographer from Gummersbach in the Bergisches Land. Today, they run the brand together with personal dedication.

Cigars with Origin and Conviction: Casa de Alegria Rico

Since October 2004, they have steadily expanded their small yet fine production. At its core are classic longfillers made from tobaccos grown in the Jalapa, Condega, and Estelí regions. The leaves are aged extensively before being rolled into cigars – with care and expertise.

Tobacco Products With Fair Origins

Casa de Alegria places great importance on fair working conditions. Employees in the in-house factory not only receive above-average wages but also social benefits far exceeding the legal minimum. Local tobacco farmers also benefit from long-term partnerships and fair prices. This respectful approach fosters trust while ensuring access to high-quality raw materials and skilled workers.

Cigar Selection From Casa de Alegria

The Edicion Limitada Rico offers a balanced aroma with earthy spice and fine roasted notes. All tobaccos used are fermented for at least one year. Those who prefer a milder profile can opt for the Edicion Limitada Suave. This version is creamier, contains less ligero and viso tobacco, and features a light Connecticut wrapper.

Casa de Alegria also offers something special for pipe lovers: instead of processing leftovers into shortfillers, binder and wrapper leaves are removed. The filler is coarsely cut and offered as authentic cigar tobacco for pipes – a so-called Wild Cut. An honest tobacco blend for fans of bold aromas.
