DBL: Cigars for Sports Fans
If there were the perfect cigars for a sports bar, they would be from DBL – short for Dominican Big Leaguer. At first glance, it’s clear that sports and cigar culture collide here: DBL offers unique vitolas shaped like baseball bats. The Baseball Bat Connecticut and the Baseball Bat Maduro are true eye-catchers. There were even cigars shaped like footballs at one point, but they are now sold out.

DBL stays true to its theme: Many cigars are dedicated to famous U.S. athletes. "La Flecha," for example, is a nod to Fernando Rodney, the legendary pitcher for the Detroit Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays.
"La Maquina," the nickname of Albert Pujols, also appears at DBL. Pujols played for many years as a baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Angels. Both hail from the Dominican Republic, further strengthening the connection to DBL cigars.

DBL stands for pure enjoyment: A fine cigar, a lager, and an exciting baseball game – or, in these parts, a soccer match with a pilsner. In Düsseldorf, of course, it would have to be an Altbier.
But it's not just the unique design that impresses. A baseball bat in cigar form? Practical – whether as a sports accessory or for the occasional strength test. As Schiller might have said: The baseball bat in the house replaces the night watchman. Or something like that...
Sports and Cigar Culture: DBL Cigars
But back to the main topic. Label founder Francisco Almonte is a master of his craft. No surprise, since he previously worked for Arturo Fuente and La Flor Dominicana.

With DBL, Almonte combines his passions: sports and tobacco. He grows his own tobacco and demonstrates remarkable creativity, which is reflected in the diverse formats of his cigars.
DBL cigars are not just visually striking but also expertly blended and masterfully crafted.
