Crowned Heads Cigars: Craftsmanship With Musical Inspiration
Looking back, it was a wise decision to leave the previous job behind. This led to the creation of Crowned Heads, a small but highly respected boutique brand that enjoys great recognition among aficionados. Business ties with the former employer remain intact. The fact that these cigars found their way to Germany is thanks to Salih Dalay from Saarbrücken, who early on recognized the potential of these high-quality cigars.
Founded by Former CAO Employees
After CAO was sold to the Scandinavian Tobacco Group in 2007 and the company's headquarters moved from Nashville to Richmond, four employees decided to take their own path. They remained in Nashville, the music capital of the U.S., and founded their own label.
Crowned Heads and Ernesto Perez Carrillo
The first series from Crowned Heads, Four Kicks, comes from the Dominican factory La Alianza, owned by Ernesto Perez Carrillo. Known as the “Godfather of Boutique Cigars,” Ernie stands for top-notch quality, which is evident in these medium-bodied vitolas with distinct wood and leather notes.

For those who prefer milder cigars, the Luminosa, with its light Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador, is an excellent choice.
From the Dominican Republic to Nicaragua
The Juarez series is rolled at the Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua. The Mil Dias also originates from this factory. The name means “One Thousand Days” – the time spent developing the blend.
Crowned Heads: Style, Tradition, and Flavor
With the Le Carème line, Crowned Heads pays tribute to French cuisine. Named after the famous chef Marie-Antoine Carême, the aroma of these cigars is reminiscent of a chocolate soufflé.

Nashville may be known as the capital of country music, but the founders prefer rock. The now sold-out Headley Grange series was inspired by Led Zeppelin, while the Court Serie E pays homage to Eddie Van Halen’s legendary guitar solo in “Eruption.”
Las Calaveras Cigars: Mexican Tradition
The Las Calaveras Edicion Limitada is released annually in a limited edition. Its skull-themed design is a tribute to Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead – a colorful tradition of remembrance.
