The masterminds behind Casa Magna are Nestor Plasencia and Manuel Quesada. Both are among the most experienced figures in the cigar world. Manuel Quesada has been operating his "Manufactura de Tabacos S.A." since 1974, starting with minimal resources and building a successful business. Nestor Plasencia also brings a rich heritage: His family emigrated from Cuba to Nicaragua in the 1950s, establishing a new tobacco dynasty there.

The combined expertise of these two masters is the key to the success of Casa Magna cigars. All cigars are produced in the Segovia factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The tobacco comes from Nicaragua's premium soils, with one exception: the Liga F series uses Maduro wrappers sourced from neighboring Honduras.
