This design is directly inspired by Rafael Nodal's passion for jazz music. As a passionate collector of records from the jazz era, Rafael has brought this connection between music and cigars to life with Capitol, giving the brand a unique cultural flair.

The Driving Force Behind Capitol: Rafael Nodal

Rafael Nodal is a renowned figure in the cigar world. With his label Aging Room, he is among the pioneers of boutique cigars. His approach? The creation of “select blends” in limited quantities. Through his careful selection of premium tobaccos and innovative blends, he has earned an outstanding reputation. His dedication to the art of cigar making is evident in each of his creations, which regularly receive high ratings in industry publications.

Under his leadership, respected brands such as La Bohème and SWAG were born. Thanks to his creative approach and collaborations with renowned manufacturers, Rafael has significantly influenced modern cigar culture.

Made in Nicaragua: Capitol Cigars by Nestor Plasencia

Capitol Cigars impress not only with their appearance but also with their excellent craftsmanship. For this series, Rafael Nodal partnered with Nestor Plasencia, an expert in premium blends. Plasencia is a renowned name in the cigar industry, with a family legacy of over five generations in tobacco cultivation. The Plasencia plantations are among the largest and most famous in Nicaragua.

The tobacco for Capitol Cigars is sourced exclusively from Nicaragua. The ideal climate and nutrient-rich volcanic soil provide optimal conditions for tobacco cultivation, reflected in the high quality of these cigars. Capitol Cigars are medium-bodied and crafted in the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua, known for its meticulous craftsmanship and rigorous quality control, ensuring only premium products leave the factory.
