Caoba Cigars: From Insider Tip to International Classic
Santo Domingo, the vibrant capital of the Dominican Republic, is much more than a popular travel destination. As the oldest city in the Americas founded by Europeans—established by Christopher Columbus’ brother—it is a true cultural highlight. The old town, with its impressive colonial-era buildings, is deservedly listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Evolution of the Caoba Brand
In this unique setting lies the Tabacalera of Caoba. For a long time, the brand was an insider tip, selling its cigars mainly to locals and tourists visiting the Dominican Republic.
An important supporter was the American Adam Zuber, who introduced the cigars to a broader audience at the IPCPR trade show in 2019. Since 2021, the exclusive Caoba cigars have also been available in Germany.
Caoba Cigars: Two Lines for Every Taste
The Caoba range includes two lines, both rooted in Dominican craftsmanship. The Classic Series combines carefully selected Dominican tobacco with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper.
The second line, Diamante, delivers a richer and more robust flavor thanks to the same quality wrapper—perfect for lovers of more intense cigars.
