Caldwell: Cigars of a Visionary
Robert Caldwell discovered his passion for cigars at a young age: At just twelve years old, he is said to have hidden in a treehouse to enjoy his first cigar. He was caught by his sister's husband, who came up with a drastic idea to break him of this habit. He took Robert to the factory of Ernesto Perez Carillo. There, Robert was given an especially strong cigar, intended to deter him. However, the plan backfired, as it only deepened Robert's enthusiasm for cigars.
Exclusive Partnerships
This episode marked the beginning of Robert's passion for cigars. Later, he and a business partner began supplying hotels and restaurants with premium cigars. This often led to demand for private labels, which inspired Robert to delve deeper into the world of cigar production.

During his travels to Central America, Robert discovered rare and exceptionally well-aged tobaccos that were largely overlooked. These tobaccos were produced in quantities too small to be used by major manufacturers. Recognizing their potential, Robert made these extraordinary leaves the foundation of his own blends.
Robert Caldwell and Christian Eiroa
Together with Christian Eiroa, who returned to the industry with Tabacaleras Fabricas Unidas after selling his brand Camacho to the Oettinger Davidoff Group, Robert produced the cigar series Wynnwood Cigars. The series was named after a district of Miami known for its art scene and galleries, regarded as one of Florida’s trendiest neighborhoods.
The Highlights of Caldwell Cigars
In 2014, Robert decided to establish his own brand, Robert Caldwell. Initially, the production of his cigars was handled by the Ventura family at the Tabacalera William Ventura. Just a year later, Robert began building his own factory, where most of his cigars have been produced since the summer of 2015. One of his most renowned series, Blind Man‘s Bluff, is manufactured at the Tabacalera Agroindustrias Laepe S.A. in Honduras, which also produces Camacho Cigars.

Caldwell stands for exclusive boutique cigars with a distinctive flavor profile that appeals to both connoisseurs and newcomers. Whether you choose the Long Live the King, the The King is Dead, the Eastern Standard, or the Hit & Run, an exploration of the world of Caldwell promises enjoyment and exclusivity for discerning aficionados.
