Belmore Cigars: A Masterpiece by Charles Fairmorn

Belmore is a prestigious brand by Charles Fairmorn, crafted with the utmost precision in the company’s own tabacalera in the Dominican Republic. Founded in 1972 in the United States, Charles Fairmorn soon expanded to Germany, establishing a branch in Hamburg. Following economic challenges in the 1980s, the American division of the company had to close.

Tradition and Expansion: From Germany to Central America

The German branch of Charles Fairmorn underwent several relocations—from Hamburg to Dingelstädt in Thuringia, and back north to Lübeck. After the turn of the millennium, operations in the United States resumed. Today, Charles Fairmorn operates production facilities in Central America, including in Nicaragua and Honduras. Among the products created there are the renowned Liga Centro Americana cigars, produced under the direction of Nestor Plasencia. Alongside Belmore, the Dominican Republic also produces brands like Quisqueya and Personales.

The Quality and Variety of Belmore Cigars

In 2001, production of cigars under the Belmore brand began, with the first cigars hitting the market two years later. These cigars are known for their flawless craftsmanship and aesthetic appearance. Their superior quality has earned them a loyal following over the years.

The sweet seduction with Brazilian flair: Belmore Maduro Cigars

The Belmore Connecticut, formerly known as Clasico, stands out for its mild character. Featuring a filler of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos and a Connecticut Shade wrapper from the USA, it offers a harmonious smoking experience. In contrast, the Belmore Maduro impresses with its sweet notes, attributed to its Brazilian Maduro wrapper. This not only gives the cigar a deep, dark color but also the distinctive taste of Brazil.
