Chinchalero: British Founder Meets Nicaraguan Craftsmanship
The brand Chinchalero was founded by Brit John Atherton, known not only for his dry sense of humor but also for his long-standing experience in the cigar industry. During his time at General Cigars International, he gained extensive knowledge about tobacco and cigars. In 2011, he launched the label Chinchalero in Nicaragua.
Affordable Cigars Made With Tobacco From Nicaragua and Honduras
Chinchalero stands for affordable cigars made from Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco. The now discontinued Reserva de Oro line with its red cigar band was especially known for its spicy aromas.

The series with the light blue band is milder but remains clearly rooted in its Nicaraguan origin in terms of flavor.
Creative Wrapper Combos: Torcidos and Mezcla 40
The Torcidos from Chinchalero are true eye-catchers. These striped cigars combine two different wrappers – a light Connecticut and a dark Maduro – to create a visually and flavorfully exciting experience. The combination gives the cigar a medium body with a distinctive spiciness.

The Mezcla 40 surprises with sweet notes, a touch of chili spice, and pronounced boldness. Its bright appearance comes from a Connecticut wrapper grown in Ecuador.
